Hello all!

Two weeks ago church got canceled because of snow, and this week we had Stake Conference. That's two weeks in a row not taking the sacrament, and I'm kind of freaking out. Oh, how sweet the water, and oh how fresh the bread will be this next sacrament meeting.

We also had Zone Conference this week. The main focus was on The Atonement of Jesus Christ, and how learning about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and loving the gospel will help us become more fruitful missionaries.

Our ward has a ward Facebook page that we joined, and this week we posted a video talking about member missionary work. We are trying to fire up the members about missionary work so they can invite their friends and family to learn about the gospel from us. The video was of Elder Bednar. We could not figure out how to share the video to the page from the App, so we ended up just taking a video of the video, and posting that. A little Ghetto, but it turned out ok.

We were checking on these less active members we did not know, and they opened the door and told us their son was not home yet. We were pretty confused, and they could tell, so they let us in. Turns out their son is in the YSA ward and they thought we were coming to visit him. The dad goes to Germany every other month for work, and he buys a ton of chocolate there and they gave us a bag full of German chocolate, and it is pretty delicious.

A wonderful 10-year-old girl was baptized and confirmed last week! Her father is a recent convert, and he was able to baptize her! We were able to work with her and teach her for the past month. She learned so quickly and retains everything so well. We were making the program for the baptism on the church's computer, and we went to the library in the church to look for some paper, and we found this floral paper, and the programs turned out super awesome on the paper. Quick story: for the past 8 baptisms that have happened in the ward, the water in the font has been ice cold, BUT! At this baptism, the water was warm! Unless the hot water heater magically fixed itself, that's a baptism day miracle!!!

Me and my companion and the other Elders in the ward were waiting in the hallway on Sunday for investigators to show up for church. This lady walks into the church holding a box, and walked right up to us and asked, "Are you from the church?" and we are like, "Sort of." She hands us the box with a note and walks away. The note is from Texas Roadhouse asking us to support them or something. We opened the box, and it was like a warm glow. They gave us a couple dozen roles from Texas Roadhouse! That was pretty fun.

We had our district activity today and we made Tie-Dye shirts. We got the materials from a member. I asked the ward on the Facebook page if anyone had the materials for making Tie-Dye shirts, and not even 3 minutes later, we got a response. That was nifty! My shirt turned out pretty legit! It was a pretty fun activity, and it only took 20 minutes of scrubbing to get all the dye off of our hands!

It was a great week, love you all!
