Hello All. I am loving my new area down here in the southern part of Maryland. The ward is super fantastic. They asked me to talk in Sacrament Meeting this week, and my topic was the Plan of Salvation. My Mom always said that people won't show up to Sacrament Meeting and they will ask the missionaries to come up and speak. She was right!!

One of our Friends named Michael was baptized this Saturday and confirmed the next day. He has come extremely far, and he is so happy to have received the gift of the Holy Ghost.

We went over to the bishops house the other day, and he is big into Civil War reenactment, so we dressed up in authentic clothes and posed. It was pretty fun.

We went over to the first counselor in the mission presidencies house, and they brought a family over that they wanted us to teach. We taught them the restoration, and they are excited to read the Book Of Mormon. Member referrals are super great because they already know people in the ward.

There are so many creatures here that I am not used to seeing, such as turtles, lizards, lots of frogs, opossums, and the Eastern Blue Jay, and my personal favorite Fire Flies, or as the locals call them, lightning bugs. It is so much fun to catch them in your hand, and they hover so it is really easy to catch them.

Last Sunday President/Coach Niumatalolo spoke at the D.C Temple Visitor Center. He is our 2nd counselor in the mission presidency, and he is super fantastic.

These past 2 weeks have been incredibly busy. Members in our ward have been finding so many people for us to teach, and there are so many miracles happening in our area, and our whole mission.

Till next week.

Elder Dallin Spurgeon
